Kaiskunniemi as a destination

Next to Hattusaari is the about 2.5km long Kaiskunniemi. As the name implies, this is a 2.5km long peninsula, which is a ridge formation from the Ice Age. In summer, during high water, you have to wade down to the ankles, but in the autumn, you can survive on dry feet. Kaiskunniemi is a great day trip destination and you can trek from our cabins by bicycle, walk or row boat along Pielinen. There is also a car park at the beginning of the path, so you can also arrive by car. Come on in and hike!

Versatile Pielinen

Surrounded by Hattusaari and Koli, Pielinen is Finland's fourth largest lake. In summer you can explore Pielinen by fishing, canoeing, boating and stand up paddling. In winter time, you can drive by car on Europe's longest inland waterway ice road, 7 kilometers long. When the weather permits, a skating rink can be found next to the ice road. The cottages have direct access to the ice-covered ski trail.
